Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation
Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation mobilizes experts, innovators, volunteers and donors to feed children in the United States today, and to advocate for policies that ensure no child is hungry again tomorrow. Founded in 1999, Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation has since granted close to $34.5 million to help families, individuals and children at-risk of hunger in the United States. Sodexo firmly believes that today’s young people are the generation to end hunger, and have invested in innovative approaches to engage youth in the issue.
Building upon almost two decades of partnership, Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation has renewed its commitment to Share Our Strength in a joint effort to end childhood hunger in America. Together, we are creating transformative change and engaging youth across the nation to take hunger personally through initiatives including:
- No Kid Hungry Youth Ambassador Program – Through the support of Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation, No Kid Hungry has created this program to involve college students across the country in the fight against childhood hunger. Since 2011, Youth Ambassadors have helped fill critical needs at state No Kid Hungry community partners by connecting kids in need with healthy food so that they can learn, play, and thrive.
- Best Practices in Youth Engagement – No Kid Hungry provides information, tools, and resources designed to successfully end childhood hunger to partners across all 50 states. We are working with Sodexo Stop hunger Foundation to fully integrate youth voices and participation to increase access to meals during breakfast, summer and after-school.
- Network Engagement – No Kid Hungry is amplifying youth voices and stories through our digital platforms. We are encouraging young people to emphasize social responsibility in their actions and inspire others to do the same. Follow @NoKidHungry for more.
